The Plenary Council of the Sisters Hospitallers continues to unfold as a meaningful time of communion, reflection and shared discernment. Representatives from across the Congregation have come together to listen, pray and continue building a common path rooted in the Hospitaller charism.
Each day begins with moments of personal and community prayer, carefully prepared by the different circumscriptions. These spaces create an atmosphere of openness and trust, helping all participants to remain attentive to God’s will.
The days of 18–19 March, as part of the Plenary Council, have been especially significant.
On 18 March, the Council focused on the Principles of Governance, guided by Marist Brother Emili Turú. Through participatory dynamics, the sessions encouraged active listening, strengthened teamwork and reinforced co-responsibility and communion as essential elements of leadership.
On 19 March, the Congregation celebrated the Feast of St Joseph, uniting spiritually with the wider community in a joyful moment of fraternity. On this special day, the sisters participating in the Council also celebrated the feast day of Sr Josefina, 1st Councillor of our Delegation, making the occasion even more meaningful for the whole Council.
The day centred on “New Challenges in Shared Mission”, with reflections inspired by Marist Brother Michele Green, whose experience offered valuable insight into the present and future of collaborative mission.
The Council also continued the process “Walking together towards the Charismatic Family”, highlighting both the richness and responsibility of this shared journey. A particularly moving moment was the encounter with the elderly sisters, whose lifelong fidelity remains a source of inspiration for all.
These days have been, above all, a beautiful experience of communion and universality—an expression of a Congregation that continues to walk together with hope, guided by the Spirit and committed to its mission of hospitality.
