Restore the Laboratory
At the moment, the current laboratory at the centre is outdated and lacking equipment.
The restoration project would include acquiring new machines, so that the staff can carry out more tests at a time. As a result, the hospital would be able to provide better care and treatment to more population nearby.
Furthermore, we would also carry out a Training Programme for Professionals. This is an essential stage to promote the development of the professionals involved in the centre. It consists of:
- Training of psychiatrists, psychologists, physiotherapists and nurses
- Collaboration with universities for students of medicine, psychology and nursing
- Training for professionals in the health field
Implementing an Assistance Unit
In cooperation with the Grant Mental Health Hospital, this unit will assist with the convalescence stage.
Therefore, it will provide short stays that can prevent relapse into drug usage and necessary medication and treatment. In addition, rehabilitation services like self care or education to help with reinsertion into society.
Moreover, it will include a special unit for people with mental disorders. This unit thereof will count on 10 beds for those that need to stay during their recovery. Lastly, the unit will also provide them with workshops and therapy to foster their social reinsertion.
