A special celebration at St Teresa’s Home brought our community together as Sr Janet and Sr Benedicta renewed their religious vows and their commitment to a life of faith, hospitality and service

Some commitments are made once, but lived and renewed every day.

At St Teresa’s Home in London, our Hospitaller community recently shared a very special moment as Sr Janet and Sr Benedicta renewed their religious vows as Sisters Hospitallers of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Surrounded by their Sisters and the St Teresa’s community, the celebration offered a moment to give thanks for the journey they have already travelled and to look with hope towards everything that still lies ahead.

A commitment renewed

The renewal of vows is much more than repeating words spoken before. It is an opportunity to return to the heart of a vocation and reaffirm a commitment to God, community and the Hospitaller mission.

For Sr Janet and Sr Benedicta, this special occasion marked another step in a journey shaped by prayer, formation, accompaniment and service.

Through the renewal of their vows, they once again expressed their desire to continue following Christ through the particular charism entrusted to the Sisters Hospitallers: welcoming, accompanying and caring for people with compassion, dignity and love.

A celebration shared in community

Celebrating this moment at St Teresa’s Home gave the occasion a particularly meaningful setting.

A religious vocation is deeply personal, but it is also a journey lived alongside others. The presence and prayers of the community reflected the importance of this accompaniment and the bonds of fraternity that sustain Hospitaller life.

It was a day not only to celebrate Sr Janet and Sr Benedicta, but also to give thanks for the gift of vocation and for the Sisters who continue to dedicate their lives to the Hospitaller mission.

Continuing the journey

Every renewal carries something of the journey already travelled and something of the future still waiting to unfold.

For our English Delegation, the renewal of vows of Sr Janet and Sr Benedicta is therefore a joyful reminder that our mission continues to grow through lives dedicated to hospitality, compassion and service to those most in need.

As they continue their vocational journey, we accompany them with our affection and prayers, grateful for their commitment and for everything they bring to our Hospitaller family.

Congratulations, Sr Janet and Sr Benedicta. May this renewed commitment bring you strength and joy as you continue to live your vocation and the gift of Hospitality each day.
