The retreat was held at St Augustine´s center on the last 28th of October

On the last 28th of October, our centre in Addlestone celebrated a very special event, the Youth Group Retreat. This was the first edition of this retreat but it won´t be the last. Due to the success of the day, a new edition will held in the coming months.
The Living Flame Group of London that reflect each week about their lives and the meaning of God in them with Sr Isabel Canton (in charge of the pastoral vocation in the English province) met outside of Clapham Juction Station to start their way to our centre in Addlestone.
It was a very busy day with a full agenda from 9.00 am until late in the evening.  Silent prayer and meditation were the main points of the day, but, in addition, the young people enjoyed a talk by Father Martin (a Josephite priest who raised important questions for them to discuss in groups), a holy mass, a rosary procession and a delicious picnic and coffee time.  Because it was their first time in our centre,  they also discovered the facilities and our daily work.
But the best way to understand this amazing day is in first hard, so we would like to share with you some of the testimonies of the participants .

"Thank you very much for organising the Retreat. It was a very blessed day of prayer, reflection and fellowship together. Father Martin's talks helped us to understand and improve our inner relationship with God, to discover our real identity in Christ and our calls in the kingdom of God".

"Thank you very much for organising Sister. It was a very good day - I thought Father Martins speech was very insightful, how it drew on all the disciples and various areas of the bible which hit the key issues and questions which many of us face and ask today - just shows how even though its 2000 years old it's still as relevant as ever in today world"
