Meet Paula Mendes, who has been with us at the Hospitaller Mission for 12 years
Today we would like to introduce Paula Mendes, who has been with us at the Hospitaller Mission for 12 years.
Paula is the Institutional Technical Supervisor of the projects carried out by the Sisters Hospitallers in collaboration with the São Paulo City Council.
📍How long have you been with the Sisters?
Twelve years ago. I chose Occupational Therapy out of a desire to care for people and offer them quality of life. I think the incentive came from the voluntary work I did at the school.
I graduated in 2008 and started my professional career in the social field.
In 2011 I started working in public health, during which I did several specialisation courses in mental health, health service management and leadership.
I started at CAPS AD III Capela do Socorro in 2011 to cover a maternity leave and after 5 months of work I was invited to join the team of CAPS Adults III Parelheiros. I worked in the technical team for 7 years, took over the management of the unit and, after two years, I started the challenge as Institutional Technical Supervisor of Projects.
📍What is your purpose, your mission to help the Hospitaller Sisters?
My mission in the Sisters Hospitallers is to give the best of myself, with simplicity, sensitivity, treating everyone with respect, affection, concern and hospitality.
