On the occasion of the celebration of our first Assembly, we share with you the testimony of Sr Cecilia, one of the participants in the event

The I Assembly of the Sisters Hospitallers’ Delegation will be held from the 7th to the 12th of December, at St Augustine’s Centre in Addlestone, Surrey. This important event, which will bring together sisters and collaborators, will define the future of the delegation for the next years. Due to this relevance, we are sharing during this week the reflections and expectations of some of the participants.

Today, we would like to share with you the testimony of Sr Cecilia, one of sisters that will participate in the assembly.

What do you expect from this assembly?

Personally, I expect that we would all have a collaboration spirit, availability and cooperation for a peaceful and assembly

Explain briefly the work done before these days?

This work is a preparation towards the assembly and it was a moment of reflecting, sharing of experiences and evaluating how we have lived these past six years as a province and also identify some of the challenges we have encounter in the course of these years and the way forward as delegation.

What do you think you can bring to this meeting?

My collaboration, contributions, sharing of ideals, opinions and dreams for the success of the Assembly

What does this event mean for the congregation?

It is a time of grace, of hope, a call to conversion and availability to embrace whatever the Lord has for us as congregation and delegation.

What advice would you give to people who are participating for the first time?

They should be generous to contribute and give their best for the success of the assembly. There is nothing to fear or worry about. This event is the great opportunity for us as sisters, to put our heads together as a congregation, Delegation and as a family, to look at the best way we can continue response to God’s call, the living and practicing of the Charism of hospitality in order to fulfill the will of God in our lives as delegation.

This is going to be the first assembly since we became a delegation, what changes do you think there might be?

In fact, I do not have any particular change in mind, but I pray that the Lord’s will be done in our lives. And that we will clothe ourselves with mercy in order to be the faithful instruments of hospitality that is close and compassionate with our brothers and sisters who suffer.
