On the occasion of the celebration of our first Assembly, we share with you the testimony of Sr Clotilde, one of the participants in the event

The I Assembly of the Sisters Hospitallers’ Delegation will be held from the 7th to the 12th of December, at St Augustine’s Centre in Addlestone, Surrey. This important event, which will bring together sisters and collaborators, will define the future of the delegation for the next years. Due to this relevance, we are sharing during this week the reflections and expectations of some of the participants.

Today, we would like to share with you the testimony of Sr Clotilde, Superior at Footherley Hall Care Centre at Shenstone.

What do you expect from this assembly?

That from the assembly will come a good Action Plan for the next three years, for our communities and centres that we all together will be willing to implement with responsibility and commitment.

Explain briefly the work done before these days?

Above all has been time of prayer asking for light from the Holy Spirit to discern in this moment of transition from Province to Delegation with its challenges and opportunities, what God is asking us to do.  Also, we have worked on the global questions in relation to the XXII General Chapter Document.

What do you think you can bring to this meeting?

I come with an open mind to participate, to listen and discern what is best for the Delegation. Open to our own reality and the sign of the times.

What does this event mean for the congregation?

It means a lot because we are part of it. It is a moment of grace and renovation adapting ourselves at what the Congregation,  the church and the society require at this moment. To walk in synodality.

What advice would you give to people who are participating for the first time?

To come with an open mind, to listen and participate.
