On the occasion of the celebration of our first Assembly, we share with you the testimony of Tracey Beany, one of the participants in the event

The I Assembly of the Sisters Hospitallers’ Delegation will be held from the 7th to the 12th of December, at St Augustine’s Centre in Addlestone, Surrey. This important event, which will bring together sisters and collaborators, will define the future of the delegation for the next years. Due to this relevance, we are sharing during this week the reflections and expectations of some of the participants.

Today, we would like to share with you the testimony of Tracey Beany, Recepcionist at St Teresa’s Care Home, in London.

What do you expect from this assembly?

That we all can listen to what will be set out for the future and what is expected from us all who are involved with Sisters Hospitallers, and what more can be done for the people who are cared for and supported.

Could you explain briefly the work done before this meeting?

The work done before the meeting was to inform people what was hoped to be achieved in the future  and to set out goals regarding strengthen the institution but still keeping the values that have been created.

What do you think you can bring to this assembly?

I can listen to what is hoped to be achieved and what will be set out in the future and if I have any contribution to make to help in anyway.

How can this meeting influence your daily work in Sisters Hospitallers?

It can influence me by bringing a better understanding on how things can be achieved and what would be needed in the future to make everyone support each other, and work to the best of their ability in a world that is changing all the time, particularly the care environment.

How do you think this type of event, in which sisters and collaborators work together for the congregation and the strengthening of the Hospitaller community, is beneficial?

The benefits are that it brings people together to share their ideas about what can be achieved in the future and that we all need to work together so we can strengthen the support for all who are cared for.
